The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. They have a “Find a Chapter” link at the top of their website to find local affiliates.

Affordable Connectivity Program is a government program that will pay part of your internet bill if you are on government assistance. This includes Medicaid, which many disabled adults and children use. It is easy to complete. If the internet bill is not in the person’s name who is disabled, set up two accounts when signing up, one for the qualifying person and one for the name of the person on the internet account. Once the disabled person qualifies, sign up linking their account to yours. Easy!

Easterseals is a national organization that has a network of affiliates that provide services and support. EasterSeals is committed to equity, inclusion, and access. They have a “Find Your Easterseals” link at the top of their website to find local affiliates.

United Cerebral Palsy is an organization that provides resources and advocates for all individuals with disabilities, their families, and their communities. They have an “Our Networks” link at the top of their website to find local affiliates. Many of their local affiliates assist with wheelchair access to homes.

RespectAbility works to create systematic change in how society views and values people with disabilities.
